Business Before Hours: St. Paul Elder Services, Inc. Purple Angel Dementia Awareness Training

We all know or love someone who has been affected by dementia in some way.  In order to lend support to our friends and neighbors, the Fox Valley Memory Project’s Purple Angel Campaign is looking for ways to make our community dementia-friendly.
As part of our campaign, we are offering dementia-friendly information to local businesses so they can earn the Purple Angel decal, letting their patrons know they are a dementia-friendly business.
During our upcoming education program, we will provide:

• An educational opportunity for your employees that will promote understanding and support of persons with dementia
• Suggestions for simple changes that might make your business and your services more dementia friendly
• Information for connecting your staff and patrons to local resources for further support
